NSW: Police seize $1.2 million worth of heroin

A man will face court today after detectives seized more than $1 million worth of heroin.

Investigators from the South East Asian Organised Crime Unit last night arrested the
39-year-old man at Berala, in Sydney's west.

Police say his arrest follows the seizure of more than one kilogram of heroin with
an estimated potential street value of $1.2 million.

A search of the man's house later uncovered $78,000 in cash.

The man was charged with supplying a large commercial quantity of heroin and goods in custody.

He will appear in Bankstown local court today.
