FED: Fischer meets bush health crisis head on

NARRANDERA, NSW Jan 12, AAP - Acting Prime Minister Tim Fischer today flew into a storm
over the rural health crisis on the first leg of his four day swing through outback Australia.

People packed into the Narrandera council chambers to send a message to Canberra that they
were sick of having to fight to keep essential health services.

The Narrandera Hospital is under threat of downgrading, a threat Mr Fischer blamed firmly
on the state Labor government.
