Vic: Snakes man quizzed over exotic pets

A Victorian man is facing massive fines and a possible prison sentence .. after police
and wildlife officers seized two exotic boa constrictors and two native carpet snakes.

Police say they discovered the reptiles at the man's house in Geelong during a drugs swoop.

The Department of Sustainability and Environment says the snakes .. which are native
to Central and South America .. were being kept without a permit.

The reptiles will probably be put down .. because of the threat of disease.
