NSW: Five charged over Sydney hospital brawl

SYDNEY, Aug 13 AAP - Five people have been charged over a brawl outside a western Sydney
hospital, including a woman who attacked the others with a crowbar.

A fight erupted outside Campbelltown Hospital about 11.30am (AEST) on Thursday during
an argument involving a visiting group of four men and a woman.

"It is alleged during the argument between two men aged 48 and 25 and a 29-year-old
woman, a number of punches were thrown before hospital security intervened and broke the
fight up," police said in a statement.

"A short time later as all parties were leaving the hospital, it is alleged another
fight broke out with the woman allegedly exiting a truck and producing a crowbar.

"It is believed a number of punches were thrown and the crowbar used during the assault
with all four men and the woman involved while hospital security attempted to intervene."

Police arrested all five at the hospital.

A 48-year-old man from Narellan and a 25-year-old man from Glenfield have both been
charged with affray and two counts of assault, while two Glenfield men, aged 28 and 26,
were charged with affray.

The four men were granted conditional bail to appear at Campbelltown Local Court on September 2.

The 29-year-old woman has been charged with affray, two counts of assault, and with
using a weapon to commit and indictable offence.

She was refused to bail to appear in Campbelltown Local Court on Thursday.
