Fed: Mid-air Qantas explosion could happen again: Minister

The federal government's warned the terrifying incident aboard a Qantas jet .. which
saw a hole blasted in the fuselage by an oxygen tank .. could happen again.

Air safety investigators announced on Friday they're yet to find out why the oxygen
cylinder exploded mid-air .. forcing an emergency landing in Manila for the jet .. carrying
346 passengers.

Federal Transport Minister ANTHONY ALBANESE's told the Nine Network .. it's possible
this could happen again.

Mr ALBANESE's vowed to implement any recommendations made by the Australian Transport
Safety Bureau.

He's praised Qantas .. despite the bad press generated by the mid-air emergency and
a series of subsequent safety issues .. for the extraordinary response from the Qantas
pilot and crew.
